Thank you for thinking of me when you were looking at getting social media/advertising done. I really appreciate the thought. Below is a plan I put together to outline what sort of things we can target for social media, and some of the differences between social media & advertising. 

 

Growing Your Customer Base

To start, I wanted to share some of the methods we would use to help grow your your social media presence and get your name out there!

Social Media Posts

As you know, one of the main ways to get both a social media following, and also just be seen more online is by regular posting. It’s hard to remind yourself to post everyday, and continuously come up with new content to try and be putting out. 

When we develop social media posts, whether it be stories, posts, reels, or a combination of any of them, the main thing that we focus on is being able to provide value to people visiting your page. 

 

Following Specific Groups

The idea that I always think about when trying to get your name out there, whether it be with social media or with ads, is how can we make sure we target the right people? Especially with ads on where you can lose money by advertising to someone that wouldn’t be interested in your service anyway. 

With this, we would want to make sure that we target mostly Edmonton locals, and especially those that are interested in real estate. This could be anyone from First-Time Home Buyers, Real Estate Agents that could refer you to their clients, or people looking at just refinancing their current mortgage. 
 

Google MyBusiness

If you do not have a Google MyBusiness set up yet, I can help you out with that. The main goal of a MyBusiness, is mainly showing people that you exist and that you’re out there! Most people will also look at Google MyBusiness for reviews and contact information, before trying to seek it out on Facebook afterwards.

 

Social Management Vs Advertising

Managing your social media content is the best way of creating something called ‘social proof’. Pretty much showing potential customers that you are trustworthy and are able to provide a quality service. One important thing to remember with social media is that it takes time. You typically won’t be getting clients straight off the bat, nor will you start gaining followers like mad. But over time it will continue to grow, and the bigger it gets the more and more it will bring you clients. 

Advertising on the other hand, is just made to get you clients and sales. It doesn’t necessarily care about having a polished look, or making sure it’s personable, it cares about getting the most amount of SALES, FAST. Advertising does cost a fair amount more than managing social media, as not only does it require consistent management to make sure you are getting both quality clients, and not wasting your budget – but it also costs money to show the ads to people each day. 

 

Google Adwords

Google Adwords are what most people would consider as “Google Ads”. After you get your Google my business set up, you can direct people to a website/landing page, or just your contact information. The idea is that when people google “Mortgage Brokers”,”Best Approvals On Houses” Or anything of that sort, we can make your name pop up first. 

The nice thing about adwords, is that it doesn’t need a huge budget to make it work well. Few dollars a day can put your name at the top of Google.

Our Process For Building Client Bases

Month One

For Social Media Management, the first month is all about putting out a lot of content that matches with with your service, so in the future, the algorithm knows when and how to recommend your page.

Posts in the first month can sound quite repetitive, as your training the algorithm to what your page is about.

Month Two

See which types of posts your followers are most interacting with, and seeing where they are coming from. Do they follow other mortgage brokers? Or Real Estate Agents? Or maybe just you because you provide the most information?

From here we can start diversifying your content to keep it fresh and provide extra information to your followers, or potential followers.

Month Three

Here we continue to monitor the diversified posts, and match content with what is getting you more attention. Your account could also have enough traction at this point to be able to share content with other users.

At this point, it becomes a combination of balancing a steady stream of people already familiar with your brand while still growing your customer base.

 

As a business with us, we would want to make sure that we could have monthly or bi-weekly updates to ensure that we are doing what we need to do to keep up to your standards and keep your company moving in the right direction.

Our Plans / No Commitment

Normally this would be the section that I would put different pricing options and packages. For you I just wanted to make it simple and let you know that we can do the one of any service you need for $399/month.

If you are considering looking at the advertising section I would be happy to talk with you through that. It does require a fair bit more budget though for both data collection and advertising.
If advertising was something you were considering of even maybe doing in the future, I can put together a R.O.A.S. chart for you. It is pretty much the advertising equivalent of Return On Investment for a normal investment, but just geared towards advertising on how much budget and work you may need to make money back on ads. If this is something that interests you, let me know and we can put one together!

P.S. 

The company lives by the no-contract rule. We feel like we should earn your business month to month and provide the best service we can: day in and day out. The first month, however, is a lot of data collection. It is slow and requires patience; however, the outcomes of proper data collection are enormous.
